At this year’s Loerie Awards, Des Ellis won two Advertising Print Crafts in the Photography category for Goat Stew and Fat Sauna Guys, two DDB South Africa adverts for Spanjaard. The art directors were Darren Borrino and Greig Watt, while Gareth Lessing was the executive creative director.

Mike Lewis also scooped a Craft Certificate for Initiation Gone Wrong, a Joe Public advert for Tuffy. The art director on the campaign was Simon Keeling, while Pepe Marais was the creative director. The campaign also won a Silver in Print Advertising: Magazine. Mike, with Chris Saunders, also helped Ogilvy JHB win a Newspaper Silver for Nike. There were no Craft Golds awarded in Photography. • Guy Neveling helped Ogilvy CT win a Newspaper Gold for VW and a Magazine Bronze for NSRI
• Clement Langlais helped FoxP2 win a Newspaper Gold for 24.com.
• Clive Stewart helped DDB win a Magazine Silver for their McDonalds campaign. He also helped win Magazine Bronzes for TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris (Nampak) and DDB SA (Bostik)
• Barry White helped Ogilvy CT win a Newspaper Silver for The Times.
• Bryan Traylor helped Lowe Bull (Cape) win a Silver for Animal Anti-Cruelty League
• David Prior helped Joe Public win a Magazine Bronze for Kalahari.net.
