Monthly wrap party at the Big Apple |
|||
|
Big Apple, aptly named for its Penthouse vantage point at the top of Mutual Heights, with panoramic views of the Cape Town city centre, was the venue for Film & Event Publishing’s October Monthly Wrap Party. Film and Event Publishing’s Kathy English-Brower and Amazing Spaces’ Julia Finnis-Bedford captivated the floor before handing over to proudly South African comedian Nik Rabinowitz. The multi-lingual comic is well-known for crossing the cultural divide in his routine, and he wasted no time in delighting the 150-strong crowd, beginning by taking a stab at what he calls the “Constantia type,” before continuing into more familiar territory. Nik is currently performing with Riaad Moosa and Marc Lottering at the Baxter Theatre in Three Wiser Men. Together with Amazing Spaces and Michaela Soule from Essential Consulting, Film & Event Publishing gave away fantastic prizes to a few lucky party-goers. Chris Roland from Zen HQ won a twonight stay at the Grootbos Nature Reserve; Basheera Hartley from Beachhouse Productions receives a one-night stay for two at the Lagoon Beach Hotel; James Miller from H&M Removals won a brunch voucher for two for Caveau in Newlands; and Calvyn du Toit from Visual Impact won a breakfast for two from Raphaels at the Asara Wine Estate and Hotel. | |||
