The Prisoner up for two Emmies



The Prisoner, which shot in South Africa and Namibia with Out of Africa, is up for two Emmy Awards: Best Actor (Ian McKellen) and Outstanding Cinematography (Florian Hoffmeister). A co-production between ITV and AMC with Granada International, the remake of the cult ‘60s science fiction starred Ian McKellen (Gandalf in Lord of the Rings) as Two and Jim Caviezel (Jesus in Passion of the Christ) as Six. The Prisoner was written by Bill Gallagher (Conviction) and directed by Nick Hurran (Little Black Book).
