South Africa is the production hub on the African continent, with a vibrant and globally competitive film industry that has continued to grow year on year. From mountain ranges and urban epicentres, to garden routes and sandy beaches, this unique country has a host of locations just waiting to be discovered. South Africa has numerous state-of-the-art studios that cater to major film productions, TV series, commercials, stills and broadcast and service work.
In 2014, executives from the Producer’s Guild of America, Disney, Paramount and Warner Bros visited South Africa on a familiarisation tour, and were astounded by the depth of skill and the adaptability of our many locations. Numerous international productions were brought to our shores as a result.
