NFVF Funded Films Set to Take Centre Stage at Encounters

The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) is pleased to announce their participation at this year’s 21st Annual Encounters South African International Documentary Festival taking place in Johannesburg and Cape Town from 6 – 16 June 2019.

Encounters, the premier documentary festival in Africa, remains one of the oldest film festivals on the continent focused on authentic documented stories. The official opening night film is an NFVF funded film, Buddha in Africa directed by Nicole Schafer, which will screen alongside other NFVF funded films; The Sound of Masks directed by Sara CF De Gouveia, Zulu Return directed by Gugulethu, and My Culture My Music directed by Fanny Tsimong.
