Slow Food Mother City, a local chapter of the international grass roots Slow Food movement, will be hosting a food film festival in Cape Town this winter. We would welcome feature and short submissions that celebrate and explore local food traditions and cultures, and/or sustainable food production, from both professional and emerging directors and producers. Both fictional and documentary films will be accepted, as well South African and international submissions. DVD format is required. The festival will take place during September 2010, showcase local and international films, be open to the public, publicised in online and print media and will be hosted at the New Space Theatre's well appointed private cinema, in Long Street, Cape Town.
