What to Expect this July on Netflix


Winter is here! But there’s no need to light a fire to keep you warm because Netflix is bringing the heat, with brand new series and films this July. This month you can look forward to The Old Guard,  a Sci-Fi Action film, starring South African actress, Charlize Theron who plays the leader of a group of immortal mercenaries. Katherine Langford stars as the Lady of the lake, in the re-imagination of the Arthurian legend in the fantasy series, Cursed – just 2 of many great shows coming to Netflix this.

Gat in die muur (hole in the wall) is a story about discovering life as one goes on your final journey to death. Riaan is a maverick who lives life to the full, enjoying all its pleasures….money sex and a good swim. He gets diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and chooses to experiment with raw marijuana to numb the pain. He brings his one and only son Ben, who lives abroad, out to South Africa to travel with him and the mysterious Ava on his last road trip to visit his best friend Tony who manages their coffee farm in the Transkei. On this final journey, he exposes aspects of his life and of life to Ben. A story of life, love, good coffee and true friendship between a white Afrikaner and his Xhosa friend.

Life Begins – 7/3/2020

Cursed – 7/17/2020

Based on the New York Times bestselling book, Cursed is a re-imagination of the Arthurian legend, told through the eyes of Nimue, a young woman with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful (and tragic) Lady of the Lake.
